A perfect day in Paris isn't about ticking boxes. It's about feeling the city, at the right pace, in the right places. Here's how I'd design yours.
7:00 — Before the City Wakes Up
Paris on weekend mornings is a different world. Empty streets, golden light, the Seine almost to yourself.
Whether you're an early riser or simply jet-lagged in the best possible way, this is the hour to be outside. A slow walk along the river, through the Jardin des Tuileries, or across a bridge with no one else on it — this is the Paris most visitors never see.
It's also where the rhythm of your day gets set. Starting slowly makes everything that follows feel more intentional.
8:30 — A Market and a Café

After that first wander, it's time for one of the most Parisian rituals there is: the morning market.
The Marché d'Aligre, the Marché Saxe-Breteuil, the Marché Raspail — each has its own character and neighborhood feel. Fresh fruit, fragrant cheese, flowers if you feel like it.
Then, a café. Not a tourist café. The right café — a marble counter, a café crème, a croissant still warm from the oven. You sit, you watch the city wake up, and you resist the urge to check your phone.
This is the moment most of my clients say they feel Parisian for the first time.
12:30 — Lunch, Bien Sûr

In Paris, lunch isn't a break. It's an event.
A good brasserie or bistrot, a table by the window, French classics on the menu. You take your time. The conversation flows. The wine — or sparkling water, no judgment — arrives without rushing.
This is not about the restaurant having a Michelin star. It's about choosing the right place for you, at the right pace, in the right neighborhood.
That's exactly the kind of recommendation I build into every itinerary — not the most famous, but the most right.
14:30 — The Seine, the Bouquinistes, and a Gentle Afternoon
After lunch, the only correct thing to do is walk.
Along the quais de Seine, past the bouquinistes with their old prints and vintage books, watching the boats drift past. Notre-Dame is there, the bridges are beautiful, and there is genuinely nowhere you need to be.
A museum or gallery, if the mood strikes — the Musée de l'Orangerie or maybe the Musée des Archives Nationales, something intimate rather than overwhelming. Then, perhaps, a boutique or two in Le Marais or Saint-Germain.
No checklist. Just curiosity.

18:00 — Rooftop Apéro
As the golden hour softens the city, Paris asks one thing of you: stop, sit somewhere high, and raise a glass.
The Dame des Arts rooftop. The Terrass" Hotel in Montmartre. The Sofitel Molitor. Each offers something different — a view, an atmosphere, a particular way of watching the city light up.
This is, consistently, the moment my clients say they fell in love with Paris.
20:00 — Dinner and the Evening

The city at night is its own thing entirely. Softer, slower, more golden.
A dinner that matches your mood — Michelin-starred intimacy, a lively brasserie, a hidden address in a quiet street. Then whatever the evening becomes: a walk along the illuminated Seine, the Eiffel Tower sparkling on the hour, a quiet nightcap somewhere that feels like a discovery.
Your Day, Designed for You by your Paris Travel Advisor
This is one version of a perfect Paris day. Yours would look different — because your pace, your interests, and what makes you feel alive in a city are entirely your own.
That's exactly what I do: I listen to what matters to you, and I design a day — or a week, or two weeks — that fits you perfectly. Not a template. Yours.
