There’s something magical about a day spent wandering through Paris, savoring each moment as it unfolds.

If you’re curious about what a day as a true Parisian might look like, let me take you on a little journey to discover my perfect day in paris!

Morning Magic: Start with a Run

Paris doesn't really wake up early on the weekend... To have the city to (almost) myself, a morning run is simply irresistible.

It's such a treat!

Runing in empty streets, by the Seine, with views of the Eiffel Tower, the elegant bridges and buildings, is my perfect way to start the day.

The air is fresh, and the city is peaceful—just me, my thoughts, and Paris slowly coming to life.

Market Finds & Café Moment

After the run, it's time for a classic Parisian ritual: the morning marché.

Whether it’s the Marché d’Aligre or one of the neighborhood markets, I love strolling the stands, gathering some fresh fruits, cheeses, and maybe even a bouquet of flowers for the day.

And of course, a stop at a nearby café is a must.

Nothing says “Paris” like sitting down with a coffee and croissant, savoring each bite while watching Parisians begin their day.

Lunch with a Friend

Late morning flows right into lunch, and what better way to spend it than with a friend?

We pick a brasserie or cozy bistrot to catch up over some French classics.

The conversation flows as easily as the wine (or sparkling water!), and we take our time, following the French way of enjoying every moment of a meal without rush.

Afternoon Strolls on the Seine

After lunch, a gentle walk along the Seine helps digest the meal.

The bouquinistes are out, offering old books, art prints, and little treasures that are always worth a browse.

I never tire of the view here—Notre-Dame, the historic bridges, and the boats drifting by.

Art & Boutiques: Paris in the Afternoon

No Parisian day is complete without a bit of culture.

A quick stop at a nearby exhibition brings a touch of art and inspiration.

Then, of course, a bit of shopping! Wandering in and out of boutiques, finding something unique, whether it’s a fashion piece or a quirky antique, makes the day feel complete.*

Rooftop Aperitif with a View

As evening nears, it’s time to toast to the day with an apéritif on a rooftop.

With the city below and the Eiffel Tower in the distance, a glass of wine (or maybe a cocktail) in hand, it’s the perfect way to end the day.

There's something about these views that just never gets old.

Evening Dinner & Good Company

Back home, it’s time to put that market haul to good use.

I prepare a little something for friends who come over, setting the table and pouring the wine. Dinner turns into long conversations, laughter, and maybe even a bit of music in the background.

It’s all about savoring the company and enjoying the simplicity of good food and friends.

Voilà! That's my perfect day in Paris

Living a day in Paris isn’t about rushing from one tourist spot to another.

It’s about soaking in the art de vivre—taking time to enjoy the little things.

From morning runs to market stops, quiet moments, and joyful gatherings, this is what makes a Parisian day so special.
